Alles begann 2018, als sich die deutsche Metalcore Band Watch Them Fade auflöste und der Hauptsongwriter Marc Fischer sein eigenes Projekt SIX DAYS OF CALM ins Leben rief.
Seine große Leidenschaft für Post-Rock hörte man dem letzten Album von Watch Them Fade schon deutlich an, mit SIX DAYS OF CALM sollte diese Leidenschaft aber nun ausnahmslos zum Zuge kommen. Das Songwriting und Pre-Production für das Debüt-Album „The Ocean´s Lullaby“ geschah im emotionalsten und gleichzeitig schwersten Jahr seines Lebens, was man den 7 Songs durchaus auch anhört. Jegliche Emotion, Herz und Seele, all das steckt in den tiefgründigen Songs und schickt den Hörer auf eine sehr intensive und berührende Reise durch über 50 Minuten melancholischen Post Rock.
„The Ocean´s Lullaby“ wurde Anfang 2020 zusammen mit Produzent Nikita Kamprad (Der Weg einer Freiheit) in den Ghost City Studios aufgenommen und Philipp Welsing (Original Mastering Studios Hamburg), der auch für Bands wie Ef, Mutiny Of The Bounty, Lantlos, Der Weg einer Freiheit und Callejon gearbeitet hat, ist für das Mastering verantwortlich. Cover-Artwork und Graphic Design stammt von Oliver Hummel (Hummelgrafik).
„The Ocean´s Lullaby“ wird am 6. November 2020 als limitiertes Doppel-Vinyl (in zwei Varianten: „bluish marbled transparent“, 100 Stück, „opaque bluish grey“, 200 Stück) sowie digital als Download und auf allen Streaming-Plattformen über Midsummer Records/Cargo erscheinen.

Back in 2018, the german Metalcore Band Watch Them Fade broke up and the main songwriter Marc Fischer starts his own projekt SIX DAYS OF CALM.
His passion for Post-Rock was clearly heard on the last Watch Them Fade record, with SIX DAYS OF CALM he could realise his affection. Songwriting and pre-production for the debut-album „The Ocean´s Lullaby“ happened in the most emotional and at the same time hardest year of his life – this is clearly hearable in this 7 songs. You can hear all of his emotions, heart and soul in this deeply songs and they send you on a intensive and touching journey of 50 minutes melancholic Post Rock.
In the beginning of 2020 „The Ocean´s Lullaby“ was recorded at Ghost City Recordings together with Producer Nikita Kamprad (Der Weg einer Freiheit). Philipp Welsing (Ef, Mutiny Of The Bounty, Lantlos, Der Weg einer Freiheit, Callejon) from Original Mastering Studios Hamburg is in charge of the mastering. „The Ocean´s Lullaby“ will be released on 6th November 2020 as a limited double-vinyl in two versions (bluish marbled transparent = 100 copies/opaque bluish grey = 200 copies) and digital via Midsummer Records.
