Am 8. Juli erscheint das dritte Album „You Don’t Want Me“ von THINNER aus Berlin via Midsummer Records, erhältlich auf limitiertem Vinyl und digital (CD Version via Dedication Records).
Stark geprägt in den späten 80ern und frühen 90ern verbinden THINNER den klassischen amerikanischen Hardcore (Black Flag, Minor Threat, Dag Nasty) mit Melodie und dem nötigen Rotz. THINNER machen es in ihren Songs nicht nur kurz, schnell und laut sondern sie wandeln mit Leichtigkeit auf dem schmalen Grad zwischen allen Punk und Hardcore Sub-Genres ohne sich dabei zu verzetteln. Sie schaffen es sogar Ihren eigenen musikalischen Charakter zu definieren, was fast ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit ist.
Seit der Gründung in 2010 hat die Band zwei Alben, eine EP (Midsummer Records / Cargo Records), und vier Musik Videos veröffentlicht. Die vier Jungs tourten einige Male durch Deutschland und konnten auf zahlreichen Clubshows und Festivals die Bühne mit vielen internationalen Acts wie z. B. Agnostic Front, The Flatliners, Masked Intruder, Steakknife, First Blood, A Traitor Like Judas, oder The Baboon
Show teilen.
Ihr neues Album „YOU DON‘T WANT ME“ wurde von Timo Höcke (Mantar, Blackdraft, Sixxxten) im Pitchback North, Hamburg im Mai 2020 aufgenommen. Gemixt und gemastered haben Aljoscha Sieg (Nasty, Marathonmann, Any Given Day, Electric Callboy) und Seb Monzel (His Statue Falls, Mayfever) in den Pitchback Studios, Köln.
Adrian war der Frontmann der Band ELEMENT, die drei Platten über Lost&Found Records in den Jahren 1993 – 1996 veröffentlichte. Neben Boiling Point, Down to Reality und Brightside waren sie eine der jüngsten Bands der Europäischen Hardcorewelle der 90er. Dominik ist Gitarrist und Sänger der Band For Them All, die bis zum heutigen Tag zwei Alben auf Midsummer Records veröffentlicht hat.

THINNER will release their upcoming third album „You Don’t Want Me“ via Midsummer on 8th July 2022 (available on vinyl, digital – CD version via Dedication Records).
Influenced in the late 80ies and early 90ies THINNER combine the spirit of classic amercian punk with the punch of modern hardcore.
They play around with various styles the hardcore sub-genre revealed in the last 30 years and mix it easily to an exciting high energy sound that formed their own musical character: fast, raw, dirty and melodic hardcore punk.

„You Don’t Want Me“ is a very personal reflection of the band members last 5 years. It deals with all issues of exclusion and rejection: divorce, job loss and the financial pressures that come with it, as well as the psychological consequences such as depression and anxiety.
„YOU DON‘T WANT ME“ was recorded and engineered by Timo Höcke (Mantar, Blackdraft, Sixxxten) at Pitchback North, Hamburg in may 2020. Produced by Aljoscha Sieg (Nasty, Marathonmann, Any Given Day, Electric Callboy) and Seb Monzel (His Statue Falls, Mayfever) at Pitchback Studios, Cologne.
Since their formation in 2010 the band released two albums, one e.p. (Midsummer Records / Cargo Records), and four music videos. They toured several times through germany and shared their stage with international artists like Agnostic Front, The Flatliners, Masked Intruder, Steakknife, First Blood, A Traitor Like Judas, or The Baboon Show on various festivals and clubshows.
Worth to mention: Adrian was the vocalist and guitarist of the Band ELEMENT that released three records at Lost&Found Records from 1993 – 1996.
Amongst Boiling Point, Down to Reality and Brightside they were on of the youngest bands of the European Hardcore wave in the mid 90ies. Dominik is the vocalist and guitarist of the band For Them All that released two records on Midsummer Records so far.
